Blog Awards!

I'm definitely a little behind on this, but I wanted to let you guys know that I was rewarded with two more blog awards a few weeks back!

Questions:

1. If you blog anonymously are you happy doing it that way; if you are not anonymous do you wish you had started out anonymously so you could be anonymous now?
I definitely don't blog anonymously and I don't think that I ever could. The way I look at this blog is a personal blog with my opinions on books I enjoy. For it to be personal, you have to let out a little of yourself so people can relate.

2. Describe one incident that shows your inner stubborn side:

I don't think a day goes by where I don't show my stubborn side, so I don't think it's all that "inner". My husband and I are both this way, so it's a constant battle of wills around this house! ;)

3. What do you see when you really look at yourself in the mirror?

I just see me. There's nothing special about me, but I am who I am and I love myself for that.

4. What is your favourite summer cold drink?
Oh, that's easy. Strawberry Smoothies!

5. When you take time for yourself, what do you do?

This will be completely obvious, but I read or write. Those are my two favorite things to do, so when I have "me time", I go for what I love.

6. Is there something you still want to accomplish in your life? What is it?

There are a lot of things that I would like to accomplish, one of those being to become a published author. I don't care how long it takes me, I really want my stories out there!

7. When you attended school, were you the class clown, the class overachiever , the shy person, or always ditching?
I was definitely the shy girl to most - unless you were one of my close friends, then I definitely wasn't. My senior year was also full of me being "the ditcher" with some of my friends. I still graduated with a 3.75 GPA, though.

8. If you close your eyes and want to visualize a very poignant moment of your life what would you see?

I have many moments in my life that stand out and inspire me. I don't think I could pinpoint a singular one right this moment.

9. Is it easy for you to share your true self in your blog or are you more comfortable writing posts about other people or events?
I put a lot of myself into the blog because I feel like it's the only way to really gain the readers' trust. But I also like posting about others and events as well.

10. If you had the choice to sit down and read or talk on the phone, which would you do and why?
No brainer: sit down and read. I'm not much of a telephone person to begin with ... I like seeing someone in person to talk to them, or just e-mail or text.

I am absolutely THRILLED to say that I have been awarded FOUR blogger awards within the past two weeks -- something I've only regretfully gotten to now because of my extreme lag, thanks to my overhaul of work right after my vacation. Boo for reality after such a relaxing vacation! ;) However, one thing that's a delight to come back to is the book blogging world, and it's a treat to be awarded for something I enjoy so much!

My seven things?
1. Book reviewing/blogging has gone from a hobby to part of me.
2. I was put in a bad place when I found out that coastal restaurants have all stopped getting oysters because of the oil spill. Boo!
3. I watch Nascar racing and was a huge Dale Earnhardt Sr fan. I'm trying to be a dedicated fan to his son, but it's just not working out.
4. The only way my husband would be any more irresistible would be if he was immortal. Seriously, that's his only flaw to me. ;)
5. I collect cook books and am putting together a huge binder of all my loose recipes. This may take me years.
6. I love to craft. A lot.
7. My cat has just recently reached his ideal weight goal of 9.5 lbs. This time two years ago, he was 23 lbs. It's been a long, emotionally draining ride for us both, but we finally made it!

1. My favorite color is orange.
2. I'm an only child. I consider my best friends the siblings I never had.
3. I have only been in one uber serious relationship, and it's pretty much the only one I'll ever be in considering I married him. I've been with my husband for seven years and I'm in it for life.
4. One day, I'd love to be a published author. I have over a dozen stories I've worked on because ideas come to me all the time. I have cut this down to three stories that I'm working on seriously now.
5. I drink entirely too much sweet tea.
6. My actor crush is Jackson Rathbone. I heart him.
7. I have a book addiction. No lie. I think about buying books all the time. I also had to put myself on a budget so I wouldn't spend all my money on books.

I'm sincerely honored to say that thanks to Grace over at Simply Grace, I've now been rewarded my second blogger award since starting this blog. A lot of people don't understand why people get so excited over these awards. Well, I can tell you that I do because it means that people actually LIKE my blog. Even though I don't get money for it and it's just something I do on the side, I take pride in people actually enjoying it!
