Waiting on Wednesday

Dawn Metcalf

Waiting Until...
July 7, 2011

When sixteen-year-old Consuela discovers she can remove her skin, revealing a lustrous mother-of-pearl skeleton, she slips into a parallel world known as the Flow, a place inhabited by archetypal teens with extraordinary abilities. Crafting skins out of anything – air, water, feathers, fire – she is compelled to save ordinary people from dying before their time. Yet now someone is murdering them, one by one, and Consuela finds herself the focus of an intricate plot to end the Flow forever when all she really wants is to get back home, alive.

This book had me at 'hello' with the cover, and the whole concept intrigues me to no end. I know it's a long wait, but I definitely think it will be worth it.

Teaser Tuesday

The Cries of Vampira: The Horror of Gaad Grey, The Evil Alpha Werewolf vol 1, by Sean H. Robertson

Now infuriated, Candace shouts, "I want to be first in your life, Gaad, right now! You said 'my wolves' almost like you're one of them. Are you one of those 'save the animal' humans that actually lives with them in the wild?"

Gaad pauses a few seconds, and then speaks. " I am one of them," Gaad Grey quietly admits.

A Poll ... and a Giveaway!

Survey Time!

I'm doing a little research for this blog. I'd like to know the best 2010 YA reads that you've enjoyed this year, and I'd also like to know the YA book that you're most anticipating for next year.

In return, I offer you a gift in exchange. I'll keep this poll up until Sunday, December 26th. While I'm tallying up the winning books for each category, I will also select two winners as well. The first person I choose and contact will have their choice between the Best Book of 2010 or the Most Anticipated of 2011 (which will obviously be a pre-order). The second winner will get whichever one the winner didn't want. Don't fret, though. If you already have whatever book is #1, we'll go down the list until we find a book you don't have. ;)

It's a win-win, right? All you have to do is fill out THIS FORM completely and in return for your time, you have a chance to win one of the best reads of 2010 or one of the most anticipated reads of 2011.

The Official Rules
- Click on "THIS FORM" above to enter.
- You have until midnight EST on Sunday, December 26th to enter.
- You don't HAVE to be a follower, but it'd be nice.
- The contest is INTERNATIONAL. If you live where the Book Depository ships, then you're qualified.
- Like extra entries? You can follow me anywhere and everywhere (blog, Goodreads, Twitter, Facebook, etc) and/or post about this contest somewhere. For each one, you add an entry - just be sure to include all of them on the form!

Thank you all for your help in advance, and good luck!
