What's In A Name?

Do you like making up names? Are you creative and can come up with names and titles at a whim? Well, then you should head over to Deepali's Blog and enter the Catchy Name Contest!

I'll be honest: when I first started this blog, I just named it the first thing I thought of. Now, sometimes, I look back at all the catchy blog names and I think, "You know, if I would have put some time and creativity into it, I could have an awesome blog name and not be seething with jealousy over others!" Or I could have asked for opinions. Don't get me wrong, Missy's Reads & Reviews has definitely grown on me and I wouldn't change it ... but it's just something I think about sometimes.

Deepali has a really awesome blog. She now has the dilemma over naming her blog. Now, it's our turn to help out a fellow blogger and get creative with some witty blog names! After all, the book blogosphere IS the most helpful community out of them all, right? PLUS, you get an incentive: a book of your choice (limit $10) from Book Depository!! Who doesn't love a chance to get a free book .. especially when you get to choose?!

So, head on over and fill out the form! What do you have to lose? I've already whipped up a few, but I thought I'd stop and let you guys get a chance!

Contest ends August 15th!

I tried to post this to your help post but now it is gone. I am going to post it here since I wan't sure how else to contact you.

Most computers when you buy them come with Works on it. If not I believe that product is only like $40. I also believe you might be able to download Works free online, you would have to do a search to see. I am not sure, it might only be a trial one. However sometimes you can get them cheaper on ebay or something like that. Oh another option is if you have a Freecycle group in your area you can ask if anyone has an extra product key. I bought Works but it is only good for 3 computers and we used them all sorry.

Oh! I do this all the time! I look at my blog's name and cringe! I totally wish I had come up with something better. Instead I used the name I came up with last semester in school while writing an essay for my lit class. It was meant as a joke.. now the joke is on me. LOL

Gonna check out the contest now. I love naming things. Just as my Kindle... John Lucas!

I'm really bad at creating names too. I can sit there and sit there, and never have a single idea. It's a miracle I created one for my blog.

By the way, I've nominated you for a blogger award!! Check it out at:

I am the same way. The name of my blog sounds dismissive, and if it were someone else's blog, the title would not catch my attention. But it has grown on me, and I wouldn't change it now.

BTW, thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm a follower now, love your template!
